Hello friends,
Two years ago my wife, Ginger, and I took the first steps in our plans to open a bike shop in Barre. We drew up plans and reached out to the community who helped us meet with building owners and managers and all kinds of people from the city. These were the first steps in realizing a destiny I had decided for myself as an adolescent and a dream I had worked towards for 20 years. I traveled the country, and even the world in order to work for and learn from the very best in the bicycle industry, always hoping in the back of my mind that it would culminate in my own successful bicycle shop. While all the hard work in the world is a part of the plan, strong community support is a requirement to the kind of success I want to experience. You have played an important part in that and we want to say thank you in person.

 • We'll have some very exciting custom bicycles for 2018 on hand for a sneak peak.
 • We'll have special guests Dog River Brewery serving their Berlin, VT brewed selections (the first beer is on us!) 
 • We'll have appetizers, desserts, and of course other drink options for the teetotalers like Ginger and I.
 • We'll have door prizes and more!

As we look to 2018, we have built a solid foundation for our bicycle shop that will help us continue forward and it is because of the amazing support you all have shown. We are so very grateful and humbled that you've chosen Vermont Bicycle Shop.
